Political Pixel site launch, VO.TE4.ME, & more

We figured now was as good a time as any to officially launch PoliticalPixel.com, as the 2010 election cycle will soon reach a fever pitch. We're excited to be right in the middle of it.

In addition to more frequently updated content for the site, later this week we're rolling out VO.TE4.ME, a free URL Shortener tool for campaigns that want to optimize their social media message. Political campaigns and non-profit organizations that tap into Facebook, Twitter, and the like (and all of them should) understand that such short burst of information often limit their ability to convey a message, especially when linking to a long website URL. We know, it's not a new concept. TinyURL and Bit.ly have been doing this for a while. But we wanted to try something different: a politically-themed URL Shortener tool, complete with a developer API for embedding the service on external sites.

Here's a quick screenshot of the site:

You can head on over to vo.te4.me to try out the service. We've got a lot more in store for the next couple of months, so stayed tuned...

Full Political Pixel Site Coming Soon

Not much to see here, but there will be soon enough...

Needless to say, we're hard at work to complete PoliticalPixel.com. Political Pixel started as an effort to combine the two things we love, politics and technology. We want PoliticalPixel.com to reflect that, in addition to providing a useful site for clients and potential clients (and anyone else who shares a similar interest in politics). Check back soon for an official launch. In the meantime, if you have any questions, please feel free to contact info(at)politicalpixel.com.
